Hello - I am an administrator of the Sproul Project website and a co-administrator of the Sproul DNA Project at FTDNA. I discovered my paternal biological family were the Sprouls through genetics, genealogy and relatives. When not pursuing my genealogy and history interests I am a professor at UCLA. I descend from James Sproul and his wife Mary Belding who lived in New Brunswick, Canada in the late 1700's and early 1800's. Mary's father was the United Empire Loyalist, Jasper Belding. I am always happy to hear from all Sproul, Sprowl, Spreull... cousins, and particularly glad to hear from other descendants of James and Mary Sproul and their relatives in Maritime Canada.
