Welcome to the 'family'! Indeed, we are finding a number of people with Lowland Scot surnames such as Wilson, Brown etc. have evidence of an ancient Y DNA genetic linkage to the Spreulls/Sprouls. This may well pre-date the widespread use of surnames. The Y DNA for the Spreulls and associated families is not Celtic, and we do not know specifically where the Spreulls originated and when they arrived in Scotland - but having cousins such as your family join the DNA project might help us with this puzzle and discover more about our common ancestors.
